📣 Today's the day! The 2026 Summer Reading Challenge has begun! Rally your readers to grab a book and start logging their minutes.

Excellent opportunity for learning and leading for PISD librarians at the Setting the Trend Conference, hosted by Clear Creek ISD. Sessions were outstanding and several PISD librarians presented.

Summer PD is in full swing! At L&IM we started with 2 great back to back sessions, presented by Freeman Librarian; Amanda Maslonka & Pearl Hall Librarian; Amanda Butcher - "Even More Low Tech Lessons with the Amandas" and "What's New with the Texas 2X2's". Exciting sessions loaded with engaging books and ready to use lessons and activities for both libraries and the classroom. These ladies also presented these sessions at the Setting the Trend-Librarians as Leaders Conference hosted by CCISD AB Freeman ElementaryPearl Hall Elementary School

PISD Libraries administrators had the wonderful opportunity to attend the Texas Association of School Library Administrators Conference. It was a fantastic week of sharing, building relationships, learning, and laughter. L&IM Director; Melissa Rippy presented on building library leaders. She was also the conference keynote speaker, presenting - "Stronger Together: From First Draft to Lasting Impact; Purposeful Leadership Through Powerful Connections". Our Libraries admin team came back excited, refreshed, full of new ideas and ready to tackle the new year!

Congratulations to our first‑year PISD librarians on completing a successful school year. Their hard work, growth, and dedication have strengthened our libraries and enriched our school communities. We are truly proud of all they have accomplished.
