Each summer semester, second year students learn about laboratory and exotic species of animals. During the lab course, they learn to perform physical examinations and various clinical procedures.
Last week, rabbits from Cotton Pick'n Rabbitry joined the students. They received physical exams, nail trims, ear cleaning with cytology, oral medications, and other treatments.
Thank you, Tara Keener, for continuing to support the program and students each summer.

Every summer semester, the students go on field trips instead of sitting in a classroom every day.
This week they helped complete chores and visit the birds at Uncle Sandy's Macaw Bird Park.

The arrangement of chorionic villi determines how the fetus exchanges nutrients and gases with the mother. Based on this distribution, the placenta is classified into four types: Cotyledonary, Diffuse, Zonary, and Discoidal. Understanding these differences is fundamental in veterinary reproductive anatomy and obstetrics.
