After 400 drill indexes our little 1/16” end mill give up the ghost 🪦
I actually impressed how well that cutter has help up! I’ve got it swapped out, touched off and we’ll keep the production moving along.
The Milltronics USA, Inc. VM has been running great 8-10 hours a day 👍🏻

Working on our next batch of drill index stands and we just received the new batch of purple 🟪 back from the anodize shop.
After performing a pre-cleaning step using our CRC Industries Universal Chlor-Free Degreaser before bagging and shipping them out we’ve helped to eliminate any imperfections and bleed-outs of the holes during the final stage of the anodizing process. All parts came back with non having to be stripped coated again.
This current batch being machined will ship out this week and we’ve chosen to go with blue 🟦

Give us your request on a second color. What color would you like that we haven’t made yet?
We can choose orange, gold, bright green, copper or even black as a standard color.

It’s Friday and both of the Milltronics USA, Inc. mills and the Kaeser Compressors, Inc. compressor are busy making parts.

It’s been a pretty rough week starting last Friday with learning of some serious health issues my Mom is going through. Me and my family have been with her every day but she still has much to endure.
I’m doing the best I can to keep the shop running, making rush job parts for our customers and making time to be with Mom.
Tuesday I made another batch of rush job parts for a customer, shipped them out next day air only to learn yesterday that UPS somehow sent the package to Europe instead of where it was supposed to go. So here I am remaking another order with an extremely short deadline on our hands. I’m thankful for the precision and repeatability that my CNC mills provide us!

This morning it’s been good seeing all of my machines running smoothly and making accurate parts. Hoping it’ll be a good day and an even better day for my Mom’s recovery ❤️‍🩹

Milling a 3/8” keyway in stainless pump shaft. After years of having a complete hodge podge selection of high speed steel endmills, most were already used, I wanted to try something new.
I picked up some new Titan USA by Harvey Tool Company cobalt 2 flute end mills to try for keyway cutting in the manual mill. This 3/8” end mill did a great job with a clean cut and a finish slot width of .374”.
So far I’m impressed and it’ll be nice to open to drawer and have a selection of NEW end mills to run with the shaft jobs that’s been coming in.
This shaft job will be featured on the YouTube channel soon.

Our Chicago-Latrobe drill sets are back in stock and we have Red & Matte Red drill indexes available now on our website Abom79.com 👊🏻

We also have a few Scratch & Dent units available too.
Get em while ya can!

Thanks everyone! We greatly appreciate your support for our humble little manufacturing run on our own parts. I know we’ve had a lot of requests for a metric version and I want to let y’all know that it’s coming down the pipeline as well 👏🏼

I’ve learned how important it is to have very clean parts before sending out for anodizing. Each batch we’ve made there’s been a few that have bled out or had spots in the finish, causing them to have to be stripped and anodized a second time. They do get dipped in a cleaning vat first but it’s not guaranteed that all of the oil is removed.

We’re using the CRC Industries Chlor-Free Universal Degreaser to ensure our parts are clean of any coolant, oil and chips before shipping them out to anodizing. It’s easy to use, drys fast and leaves the parts completely clean.

Every day our machine shop relies on the dependable, clean, dry air💨from our Kaeser Compressors, Inc. 5C Airtower. It provides the needed air supply to the CNC mills and gives us oil & moisture free air when cleaning our parts.

Another batch of our drill indexes are about ready to ship out for the 🟪 color treatment 👏🏼

We’re thankful to all who made the drive over to check out our Tool Sale! We had folks from Arizona, Texas, Tennessee, Louisiana, Georgia, Alabama and several locals who have enjoyed the videos for years.
We had a lot of great deals starting at $1 and were encouraging those interested in hand tools to make a big pile for $5.
Big thanks to Courtney, Kheilee, Gabby, Lisa, Frank, Liam, Steve and Lori for coming over early on your Saturday to help us out!
Lisa and Courtney managed the check out line and they handled it like pros!
Abby has been 100% supportive and helpful during the last three weekends helping me move, sort, tag and manage the sale. (Her back hurts because of me 🫢)
Abby’s parents spent two days also helping us tag all of the tools. Thank you Steve & Lori!
I’ve said to many of my friends that this has been a monumental task to carry out. You don’t realize just how much stuff you have until you lay it all out in front of you, then have to move it all out.
The most popular sales were the precision tools. I think everyone who visited walked away with at least one measuring tool of some sort.
The vises were popular too with a good portion of the smaller vises being purchased.
The Reed 8” vises are still available!

I think the best part of this sale is having the opportunity to meet, shake hands and talk with people who genuinely love the content I share on YouTube.
Hearing how excited they are to see the shop they’ve watched for so many years and talk about what they enjoy from the videos is very humbling and I can’t express my thanks to everyone enough!

We had a great time and got to meet a lot of super nice and genuine people. Everyone looked like they were having just the best time checking out all of the tools. We all got to talk, laugh and share stories. We couldn’t have asked for a better day!

Thank you!
Adam, Abby
