Congratulations to Abby Stamelman Hocky, recipient of the 2026 Dare to Understand® Award.

For years, Abby has championed Interfaith Philadelphia's mission of fostering understanding and cooperation among people of diverse faith traditions and backgrounds. Her leadership has helped create spaces where meaningful dialogue, authentic relationships, and lasting community connections can flourish.
Reflecting on the celebration, Abby shared that the evening felt like a "tsunami of love"—a fitting description of a community that has been shaped by her vision, dedication, and care.

Thank you, Abby, for your extraordinary leadership and for inspiring all of us to continue daring to understand. View the full photo gallery and event highlights here: https://www.interfaithphiladelphia.org/dare-to-understand-awards/

Interfaith Philadelphia and the Religious Leaders Council of Greater Philadelphia are honored to participate in the 2026 Liberty Medal Ceremony on July 3, celebrating His Holiness Pope Leo XIV and his lifelong commitment to faith, human dignity, and the common good. We are proud to join this historic moment in Philadelphia as our nation prepares to commemorate its 250th anniversary.

The Religious Leaders Council of Greater Philadelphia was founded in 2006 to build relationships of mutual support, offer a moral and spiritual voice in the region, and identify issues of local concern for dialogue and action. Senior leaders from thirty-five diverse religious traditions make up the Council, representing more than two million people from across the greater Philadelphia region. We're excited to introduce our Summer 2026 interns‼️

This summer, Eze Brown, Miriam Stodolsky, and Kassandra Lippincott will be supporting Interfaith Philadelphia's programs, communications, and community engagement efforts.

Each brings unique experiences, perspectives, and passions to our team. From interfaith dialogue and youth engagement to storytelling and digital media.

Take a moment to swipe through and get to know them a little better (including a few of their "intern essentials" 😆).

👏Please join us in welcoming them to Interfaith Philadelphia!
