The Klein College graduate made history as the first Temple student to win a national Hearst Championship title, taking first place in television news reporting at the 66th annual Hearst Journalism Awards in San Francisco, often called the "Pulitzers of collegiate journalism."

Philadelphia just became the world's first 'Playful Learning City' and Temple research helped make it happen. 🎉🛝

Temple psychologist Kathy Hirsh-Pasek and Temple alum Sarah Lytle, CLA '11, are bringing playful learning to public spaces across the city, helping kids see themselves as creators through projects like the Launch Pad at Sister Cities Park.

For the last four years, they’ve kept that bond going with an annual tradition called 'Duncle Weekend' (dad + uncle weekend): minimal rules, no bedtime, no moms, just the kids bonding and the dads strengthening their brotherhood.

Presented by the Charles L. Blockson Afro-American Collection, Before Another Name: A Photographic Archive of Black North Philadelphia, 2010–2020, is a photographic exhibition by Shawn Theodore.

The exhibition gathers a decade of images made in North Philadelphia, with particular attention to the neighborhoods surrounding Temple University’s campus, and reflects on Black life, neighborhood continuity and the history of place through photography.

It will be on view in the Charles Library First Floor Exhibition Space from now through June 30, 2026.

Congratulations to the Klein student team on their recognition at the National Student Advertising Competition. 👏

A group of 23 students traveled to New York City and earned the award for the “most ownable” campaign platform, placing 5th in District 2.
