The mission of the Friends of Hackett is to provide support to all current and future Hackett Elementary students, teachers, staff, and parents.
Friends of Hackett is a part of the 19125 Parents Coalition, a cross-neighborhood approach to improving educational and play opportunities for our kids in the neighborhoods of the 19125 zip code (Fishtown, East Kensington, and Olde Richmond).

🌞 Tomorrow morning! Bring the family to Hackett to get your hands dirty* and enjoy the sunshine. We’ll be planting in our garden and sprucing up the school yard. No experience needed, materials and tools supplied. 🌱

Friends of Hackett and Friends of H.A. Brown are joining forces for our May Fundraiser! On Tuesday, May 26th ponder_bar will be hosting the "Food Fighters" - Roy and Drapes - in their Pop Up kitchen offering not your average boxed lunches for both adults and kids. The bar will also have School Special drinks: an Aperol Spritz for FOH, and a Hibiscus Margarita for FHAB.
To support, choose your own adventure:
- Stop in for grab and go dinners for the whole family!
- Hang out, have a drink, then bring dinner home to the kiddos!
- Leave the kids at home so you can drink AND dine in.
20% of food and drink sales will be donated to our school groups.

Join us Saturday morning to help beautify the schoolyard and garden area. We’ll be planting and picking up debris. No experience or tools needed, just helping hands! 🫶🤝🤲
We’ll meet in the schoolyard at 10am on Saturday, May 16th to get to work 💪
It’s the end of teacher appreciation week! Our teachers and staff deserve all of the appreciation, all of the time, but here’s a little glimpse of FOH helping to show love to the humans who make Hackett such a special place.
We also got to support some of our favorite local businesses in the process with breakfast from forincafe, lunch from smallsphl and handmade gifts from hum_of_the_hive_candles!

What a night! ✨ Thank you to everyone who came out and made the Friends of Hackett Spring Soirée such a special celebration. This event would not have been possible without everyone who attended, donated, and volunteered to help bring it all together.
