Chestnut Hill College Music Department

Tonight, Tuesday, April 28th is our Choral Spring Concert, featuring the Hill Singers, under the direction of Mr. Donald Holdren. This group is comprised of current students, alums and men and women from the community. In the time they have been singing together, the group has not only solidified, but has meshed musically and advanced to more complex repertoire. They have a wonderful sound!

This past Saturday, we combined with La Salle University's Chapel Choir, under the direction of Mr. John Lewis and completed a concert with them at the Shrine of the Miraculous Medal.

We meet every Tuesday from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm during the academic year. We would love to have you!

We are very busy getting ready for Chestnut Hill Annual Carol Night which will be on Friday, December 5th at 7:30 pm. In addition to our Hill Singers, this year we are joined with the LaSalle Choir under the direction of Mr. John Lewis.
I am excited about this recent addition- our first rehearsal together was amazing and so encouraging for singers and directors alike.
If possible, please come out and support our yearly program as we "kick off" the Christmas Season.
Of course, Santa will stop by to the delight of many children in the audience!.

Congratulations to the Hill Singers,to their director, Mr. Donald Holdren, to their accompanist, Matt Esposito, to Ovidio Pool, to Dr. Joe Kulkosky, to all soloists in last night's concert "A Salute to Sondheim". The concert was exceptional and well attended.

In a few short weeks (Dec 3) we will celebrate our annual Carol Night at the College. It looks different this year without the Wind Ensemble, Jazz Ensemble or String Ensemble, but with the talents and generosity of our current students and faithful Alums, we are planning a beautiful Carol Night once again!
Please join us at 7:30 pm that night (masks required).
We will be honoring S. Carol Jean Vale, SSJ during our performance.
