Recently, our students on the Thomas Jefferson Women’s Board of Philadelphia Junior Members attended their first meeting!

The Thomas Jefferson University Hospital Women’s Board aims to provide for the comfort and care of hospitalized patients, their families, and the greater Jefferson community. In keeping with Jefferson’s focus on global health, the Women’s Board also funds global health projects led by Jefferson staff, faculty, and researchers.

Thank you to the TJUH Women’s Board for welcoming our students and giving them a meaningful opportunity to explore healthcare services in action!

Last week, Liguori Academy presented at C2L-PHL’s Future Forward event at the University of Pennsylvania. Hosted by Career Connected Learning PHL, the event explored the future of work-based learning through youth voice, innovative practices, and cross-sector partnerships.

Ryan Allen, Postsecondary and Student Success Manager, and Abby Appleton, Student Success Coordinator, shared how Liguori’s career-connected education model uses cross-sector partnerships to prepare students for success. They were joined by Liguori student Dave ’26 and Sean Flynn of Pincus Elevator Co., Inc., who highlighted how partnership opportunities led Dave to a full-time job after graduation. Attendees also heard from Liguori alumnus Daviel and the Vulcan Mechanics Robotics Team.

Thank you to C2L-PHL, UPenn, and Foundations, Inc. for hosting an inspiring event that showcased innovative educational leaders and new strategies for the future of learning.

The Liguori Academy Class of 2026 has earned an incredible $74,000 in scholarships through ONTRACK Plus!

Congratulations to Collette, Anastasia, Jeffrey, Nick, Summer, Asia, Daniel, Ruleisy, Corrie, Luz, Ray, and Edgardo for being named 2026 ONTRACK PLUS Scholarship recipients. Their hard work, determination, and commitment to their futures continue to inspire our school community.

ONTRACK PLUS, powered by the Uncommon Individual Foundation, helps first-generation and underserved students explore meaningful pathways after graduation through skill-building resources, college-level course access, and I scholarship opportunities. This year alone, the program awarded more than $500,000 in scholarships to 75 students nationwide.

Founded in 1986 by Dr. Richard Caruso, UIF empowers individuals and organizations to use mentoring as a pathway to personal and professional success. Dr. Caruso dedicated his life to this mission and his legacy continues to support students at schools like Liguori Academy every day.

At Liguori Academy, we are proud to partner with programs that empower students to turn ambition into achievement. We celebrate these remarkable seniors and look forward to seeing the Boundless Opportunities they pursue next!

Recently, Liguori Academy 12th grade students took a trip to the
Lantern Theater Company to see Franklinland, a play that explores the complicated relationship between Benjamin Franklin and his son throughout their lives.
