After nearly 48 hours filled with captivating games 🎯🎳🎲🎭, classic camp crafts 🧶🎨, joyful splashing outdoors 💦🤿, and exciting field trips 🚌, we are ready to tie a bow 🎀 on our week of Makom Summer Camp! We hope all our kiddos and their families have a relaxing, rejuvenating, and unforgettable summer. We look forward to seeing everyone for our August camp from 8/17 to 8/21!

🚨🥳🪩 We are incredibly excited to announce our first Jewish Placemaking Practicum cohort! These 9 amazing Jewish educators are embarking on a two-year professional journey, for them and their communities, to become certified Jewish Placemaking Educators.

☀️🩳🩱💦📚 Yesterday, we got to splash around and cool off at Wharton Square Playground, and today, we splashed at Sister Cities Park and visited the library. The school year may be over, but we are not done having fun.

As we approach summer break, Makom learners have been reflecting on blessings, transitions, partnership, and the many ways we grow into who we're meant to be. Through art, prayer, games, and celebrations, we have been exploring what it means to create a makom – a place of transformation, belonging, and becoming. Don’t forget! Makom is running School’s Out Camp the week after the School District of Philadelphia ends (June 15-19) and before it starts again (August 17-21). Campers both weeks will enjoy classic camp crafts, energizing games, TWO field trips, including one to the Franklin Institute, and time to play and splash outdoors daily.
