Franklin Towne Charter High School is proud to thank Senator Tina Tartaglione for recognizing senior Kayla Marshall for her outstanding achievements in academics, athletics, leadership, and service.
As our longtime representative in Harrisburg, Senator Tartaglione’s continued support of Franklin Towne means a great deal to our school community. Her presence at commencement and her recognition of Kayla reflect confidence in our students, the work of our school, and the direction we continue to move together.
Kayla represents the very best of Towne: hard work, character, leadership, service, and commitment to others. We are incredibly proud of her and so grateful to see her accomplishments recognized in such a meaningful way.

Franklin Towne Charter High School proudly congratulates the Class of 2026.
Our commencement ceremony was a beautiful celebration of 320 graduates and the character, leadership, service, and perseverance they demonstrated throughout their time at Towne. With more than 150 student nominations, over 40 award recipients, scholarships, grants, and $10,000 in well-earned awards, the ceremony reflected the strength of this graduating class and the pride of our entire school community.
We were honored to welcome several distinguished guests who helped make the day even more meaningful, including Tiffany Tavarez, Vice President of Community Impact and Strategic Partnerships for Jefferson’s Office of Community Health & Impact; Pennsylvania Senator Christine Tartaglione of the 2nd District; Board of Trustees Chairperson Frank DiCianni; Board of Trustees Treasurer Ryan Keller; and Trustee Linde Bianchino and her family.
We extend our sincere appreciation to Senator Tartaglione for joining us and presenting Franklin Towne’s Civic Engagement Character Award to Kayla Marshall. Her presence helped highlight the importance of student voice, leadership, and civic engagement.
We are also deeply grateful to Tiffany Tavarez for sharing a heartfelt and inspiring message with our graduates as they prepare to begin their next chapter.
To the Class of 2026: congratulations. You have left your mark on Franklin Towne, and we are so proud to celebrate you.

Parents & Guardians:
The School District of Philadelphia’s annual Philly School Experience Survey is now open and we are looking forward to your feedback. We are proud to share that over the past three years, our parent response rate has increased significantly—from just 2% in 2023 to 39% in 2025. This growth reflects the strength of our partnership with our Parent Teacher Association and with your help, we are confident we can reach our goal of 50% participation this year.
In addition, Franklin Towne scored above all participating schools across five of the six categories. This year, we are especially focused on continuing to strengthen our Family Engagement scores.
We will use this survey to learn how parents/guardians feel about school safety, school leadership, family engagement, and more. The District also uses survey responses to identify what is working well in schools and where additional support may be needed.
You can access the Philly School Experience Survey at
👉 philasd.org/parentsurvey.
⚠️ June 12 is the last day to participate.
To learn more about the survey and view last year’s results, visit philasd.org/PSES.
Thank you for being your child’s biggest champion and for partnering with us in this important work. We look forward to using your feedback this summer to plan for a great 2026-27 school year!

For the final episode of "Towne Talks" this school year, our students brought together everything that makes this program special: creativity, humor, school spirit, and a genuine love for the experience they built together.
This episode gives our seniors a chance to reflect on their final days at Franklin Towne, while also celebrating the growth, confidence, friendships, and memories they found through video production. From students who once never wanted to be on camera to hosts signing off for the last time, their reflections show the power of finding your place and using your voice.
Thank you to our Franklin Towne Productions Towne Talks cast, crew, and Mr. Cella for continuing to create something our school community looks forward to and takes pride in.
