Jonathan Jones, a Philadelphia Eagles cornerback, spent more than an hour with Tailwinds’ scholarship students on Wednesday, June 3. Jonathan shared his journey to the NFL and spoke about how he discovered his passion for aviation. He is an instrument-rated pilot and the owner of a Daher TBM 930 single-engine turboprop aircraft.

Jonathan did an outstanding job engaging the students and challenging them to think bigger about their futures. His message was exactly on target: focus, discipline, and drive. Those are qualities they will need not only to become successful pilots, but to succeed in life.

Tailwinds aviators traded cockpits for concert halls last weekend! 🎶✈️ Our crew enjoyed a Bernstein/Gershwin concert at the Kimmel Center — and even got to meet some of the musicians after the show. What a night!

This September, we’ll welcome a new cohort of six students from Frankford High School’s Aviation Academy to Tailwinds.

These rising juniors are taking the next step in their aviation journey, and we’re honored to be part of it. We look forward to introducing this exceptional group and sharing their progress in the months ahead.
