What a beautiful week -- Congratulations everyone! Our adorable kindergarteners have risen to full elementary school and let's hear it for our newest 8th grade graduating class!! They will be attending the following high schools of their choice:

We teach through the finish line at OCS! 4th grade presented projects on the southwest, 1st grade finished math and 3rd grade posted up their poetry!

As 8th grade students end their time at Olney Christian, they complete a Capstone Project to reflect on their growth in the three aspects of our mission—Head, Heart, and Hand—as well as their personal faith journey. Students showcase academic growth through a portfolio of work samples and reflect on character growth and life skills by presenting evidence in selected Heart and Hand areas. They may demonstrate this growth through a variety of formats, including video interviews, photographic essays, timelines, or survey data. This project culminates in a 10 minute presentation to their teachers, administration and board members. We are so proud of them and their growth!

Our 4th graders enjoyed their annual trip to Sight& Sound theater in Lancaster to celebrate the end of their elementary career. "Joshua" was quite a production. What a joy to see them enjoying God's word come to life!

Today we had a special visit from former teacher-turned-author Yolanda Weaver! She read her new book called 'Brown Like Me' to Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grades. They had a great time seeing themselves represented in literature. Link in the comments if you'd like a copy for yourself.

Mrs. Wharton graduated from Cairn University last weekend with a Masters degree in 'Educational Leadership and Administration'. We are so VERY proud of her and all her hard work and perseverance. She was already an excellent administrator but now has the tools to excel still more! We know that the Olney Christian School community will be enriched by her expertise! Please join us in extending your congratulations to her!
