HAMAA Shorts: Ras Mulugeta, a Hero to the End 05/14/2026

Ras Mulugeta Yegazzu was a diplomat, a nobleman, statesman, and a patriot. Born in the Empire of Abyssinia in the mid19th century, he was a veteran of the Battle of Adowa. Then he was a young man and new to military command. In the years following, he served under Emperor Menelik II and his sucessor, Haile Selasse I. HAMAA Shorts: The Fall of Granada 02/21/2026

In January of 1492, the Moorish presence in the Iberian Peninsula took its last breath with the fall of Granada. Muhammad XII, also know as Boabdil, held on to the city as long as his army could stand. Eventually they succumbed to hunger and despiration, and Boabdil surrendured the keys to King Ferdinand of Aragon, and an era ended. After 781 years, Moorish rule ended, and the world would never be same.
