"I think all of these professional connections really come from my time at Penn. It's really shaped who I am, both intellectually but also in terms of having a sense of what a good community is."

"When I got here, I did not see myself as an entrepreneur. It didn't cross my mind that I could found something. The way that Penn approaches its students, Penn assumes that everybody can and should have the capacity for that kind of thing. Penn gave me the knowledge and the resources and the confidence to be able to say, "OK, not only have I identified this problem, I also can come up with a solution that hasn't existed before."

"I think being a Penn alum means that there is a commitment to lifelong learning, and I think it's more that there's a group of people who understand the kind of experience that you've gone through, and it makes it easier as you travel and make new friends. So I think being a Penn alum is being part of a larger community of lifelong learners."
