The summer learning continues for Horizon Honors educators!
The Horizon Honors Elementary School Grades 5-6 Science Team recently teamed up with the for some high-powered professional development. This wasn’t your average sit-and-listen workshop. Our teachers were in full "student mode," diving into a hands-on experiment that perfectly bridges the gap between ELA (English Language Arts) and STEM concepts.
What This Means for Our Students:
- Hands-On: Learning by doing! Students getting their hands dirty with real experiments.
- Standards-Based: Ensuring rigorous, top-tier alignment with Arizona's science and literacy standards.
- Cross-Curricular Connections: Showing students that science and ELA aren't separate subjects - they work together to solve big problems!
We can't wait to see these engaging, engineering-focused lessons come to life in our classrooms!
