This passion grew as he created 'The Urban Farm' in Phoenix, Arizona, on 1/3 of an acre where he planted 70+ fruit trees. There, and online, Greg educates and empowers people to plant their own! Through this entity he offers food-growing related classes both online and in-person, as well as events to promote fruit trees and vegetable seeds combined with topic related education. learn how: (http://

🎙️ New Episode of the Urban Farm Podcast #988

What if your garden wasn't just for fresh eating—but for feeding your family all year long?

This week, Greg talks with Staci and Jeremy Hill of Gooseberry Bridge Farm about building a "Preserver's Garden"—growing food with the intention of canning, freeze-drying, dehydrating, and storing it for future use.

After trading suburban life for an 11-acre farm in the Missouri Ozarks, they built a lifestyle centered around food security, self-sufficiency, and preserving traditional skills for future generations.

In this episode, you'll learn:
🌱 How to plan a garden specifically for food preservation
🍅 Which crops provide the biggest return for long-term food storage
🥫 Tips for building a pantry stocked with foods your family actually eats
❄️ How freeze-drying has transformed their food preservation strategy
💰 Why growing and preserving food can help reduce grocery costs

Their biggest advice? Start small. Preserve one thing. Grow one crop. Build confidence one success at a time.

We Grow With You 🌱

Every season teaches something new.

Maybe this is the year you plant your first tomato. Maybe it’s the year you finally build healthy soil, save seeds, start composting, or turn a small patio into something abundant.

Wherever you are in your growing journey, you don’t have to know everything to begin.

At Urban Farm, we believe food-growing is learned one seed, one lesson, and one season at a time. Through podcasts, classes, events, and community, we’re here to help you grow with more confidence each step of the way.

Because gardens grow over time… and so do growers.

We grow with you.
