Our final full day in Boston started at the Boston Tea Party Ships & Museum, where we were divided into smaller groups and given profile cards of real people who participated in the Boston Tea Party. We had the chance to reenact tossing tea crates into the harbor, explore the ships, and learn about the courage and determination of the men and women who helped shape American history.

After the museum, we headed to the Boston Public Market for lunch, shopping, and some free time. Many choristers wrapped up the afternoon at a nearby park, quickly discovering a very fast slide that became an instant favorite!

Following lunch, we boarded the bus and headed to the wharf to catch a boat for our three-hour harbor cruise. We had a great time watching the coastline change as we made our way around the harbor, floating directly beneath the flight path of incoming airplanes landing at Logan International Airport, and enjoying time together on the water.

One of the most meaningful parts of the day was our senior speeches. As always, they were filled with laughter, joy, memories, gratitude, and of course plenty of tears from just about everyone. After the speeches, the upper deck turned into a giant dance party that kept going until it was time to disembark.

We then enjoyed dinner at Back Deck before heading back to the hotel to pack, spend a little more time together, and get ready for an early morning trip to the airport.

What a perfect way to spend our final full day in Boston. This tour has been filled with incredible performances, meaningful connections, unforgettable experiences, and memories that will stay with us for years to come. Now it’s time to head home!

Day 5 in Boston!

We spent the day at Old South Church, beginning the morning by singing prelude music for the 11:00 a.m. service. It was a special Sunday for the congregation as it was their final service in the main sanctuary before the summer season and also Youth Sunday, when young people lead many parts of the service. Several seniors were recognized, and it was inspiring to hear them share their reflections, read scripture, and lead prayers.

After the service, we enjoyed lunch around Boston before heading back to rehearse with Boston City Singers for our afternoon concert. We had a wonderful time getting to know their singers, and they even surprised our graduating seniors with a thoughtful gift, a Boston tote bag to remember the experience.

The concert was fantastic, and we were so grateful for the amazing turnout and support from the community. Following the performance, we had a little downtime before dinner and spent some time exploring Boston Public Garden. Just as we were leaving for our short walk to dinner, the skies opened up and we got caught in a torrential downpour. While we may have gotten a little soaked, many of us secretly loved every minute of it!

Dinner was at Fire + Ice, where everyone had fun creating their own meals, choosing sauces and ingredients, and watching everything cook on the giant circular grill.

It was a full day of music, new friendships, great food, and a little unexpected adventure. A good day in Boston indeed!

PCC’s 2026 Bus Video Challenge begins soon! Videos are being submitted and will be posted this morning.

First we need to make the rules for voting/scoring clear so everyone knows how we score and choose the winner. Along with likes and shares earning points, comments will earn points as well. However, we will only be counting unique comments on each video, meaning one per account/person. SO that means multiple comments by the same person only counts once. We also have over 20 independent judges who are not on tour who will be submitting their votes/criteria scores to us by our voting deadline.

Voting will open today once both videos are posted and will close tomorrow, June 8 at 1pm Boston time.

We will announce the winner via social media once all the votes/scores have been tabulated. Good luck to everyone!

Day 4 took us to historic Salem! We spent the day exploring the fascinating Salem Witch Museum and touring the beautiful The House of the Seven Gables. Afterward, we enjoyed lunch in town and had time to wander through the shops and soak in all the charm and history Salem has to offer.

Following our tours, we headed back to the hotel to get ready for a special evening. Before leaving, we gathered in the hotel atrium and shared an impromptu performance of Why We Sing, filling the space with music and creating a memorable moment together.

The night concluded with dinner and the Gospel Choir Night performance at the Boston Pops. It was an incredible concert, and we enjoyed every second of it. Another wonderful day of learning, exploring, singing, and making memories together!

Day 3 in Boston!

What a fun day!

We started the morning back in Boston at Old North Church for a private historical talk and the chance to sing a ca****la in this incredible space. The church was built in 1723, making it over 300 years old, and it was amazing to experience the history and acoustics firsthand.

From there, we hit the Freedom Trail, where we learned even more about Paul Revere, Samuel Adams, the Boston Massacre, and many other important moments in Boston’s history. Our guides were fantastic and even dressed in period clothing, which made the experience even more fun.

After the tour, everyone had some free time to grab lunch, explore the city, and enjoy Boston before heading back to the hotel to rest and get ready for our evening concert.

We wrapped up the day at Grace Episcopal Church, where we enjoyed a delicious Italian dinner before performing. The Boston heat definitely made the chapel a little warm, but our choristers rose to the occasion and gave a wonderful performance that was very well received by the audience.

We’re having a great time, making lots of memories, and learning so much along the way. Next up: Salem!

Day 2 in Boston was one for the books!

We explored one of America’s most historic cities, taking in iconic sights throughout Boston including Fenway Park, Paul Revere’s House, Old North Church, and so much more. Our panoramic city tour gave choristers a glimpse into the rich history that helped shape our nation.

After lunch at Faneuil Hall Marketplace, we headed to Harvard University for guided walking tours of campus. Each choir also had the incredible opportunity to spend time with Harvard’s Director of Choral Activities, Andrew Clark, pushing themselves in new ways in a building that is one of the oldest college buildings in America.

We wrapped up the day with dinner, bowling, arcade games, and plenty of laughter before heading back to rest up for another exciting day ahead.

Boston, you’ve been amazing so far!
