Juneteenth is a time for celebration and reflection with the whole family. Also known as Freedom Day, Juneteenth is a holiday celebrating the emancipation of African Americans who had been enslaved in the United States.

People honor and celebrate Juneteenth in many ways, but the concept can sometimes be challenging for younger scholars.
