Please join us in congratulating College of Health Solutions and Arizona State University- REACH Institute Professor Cady Berkel on becoming the president-elect of the Society for Prevention Research - SPR!
This national organization brings together stakeholders to understand what helps or harms health and well-being to prevent problems before they happen.
Much of Berkel’s research in this space focuses on strengthening outcomes for children, youth and families.
“Evidence-based preventive interventions have demonstrated effects on just about every positive outcome you can think of for children. By supporting children and families early, we can reduce risk, promote resilience and prevent problems before they become more difficult and costly to address,” she said.
Congrats!
