A significant part of the 8th Grade experience at St. Edmund's Academy is the completion of an extensive research project. Our senior class dives deep into topics of their choice, centered around a Sustainable Development Goal, practicing the discipline of critical inquiry and research, producing 8- to 12-page papers that showcase their depth of thought, emerging understanding, and exceptional writing skills.

We're proud to share our 8th Graders' research project topics! Each of their topics reflect issues important to them and demonstrate an ability to recognize injustice and challenge themselves to honor the needs and worth of others.

The very last thing we do before the end of the school year is celebrate Moving Up Day, when our 8th Graders leave Chapel for the last time as students, and our 1st through 7th Graders move up to their new seats in the Chapel. It is a special celebration marking the growth and acheivement of the year, and ends with lots of hugs, cheers, and smiles...and the year's loudest rendition of the Alma Mater!

Have a great summer, Wolfpack! 📣Hooray!📣

This morning the SEA Upper School gathered for their End of Year Awards Ceremony, recognizing some of the accomplishments of our oldest students. Included in these recognitions were academic high honors, awards voted on by members of the Faculty, the Athletics Bowl and Spoon Award, and the Performing Arts Cup and Straw Award.

We were honored to welcome several of the people who either established an award, or for whom an award was named. The opportunity for our students to receive their award from these significant members of our community was especially meaningful.

We are proud of all of our students and their accomplishments, and we look forward to their leadership to come, and we’re grateful for everything they bring to the SEA community.
