A few more scholarship surprises worth celebrating! 👏

Michael Ion and Nathan Geiser recently finished out their senior year with an exciting jumpstart into what comes next: both were awarded #1 Cochran TechEx Scholarships to help support their education here at RTC.

Two students stepping into their future with support from people who believe in where they’re headed! That’s what makes these moments so special. It’s not just about receiving the scholarship, it’s about being seen, encouraged, and reminded that the automotive industry already has people rooting for them.

Big thank you to #1 Cochran for continuing to create these opportunities through the TechEx partnership and helping students take their next step with confidence!

Electrical students are putting the pieces together... literally. In Motors & Controllers and Power Sources, these training boards give them hands-on practice wiring circuits, reading schematics, testing connections, and troubleshooting the kind of control work they’ll see in the field 💡

Last week, our Rosedale Riveters took their meeting outside the lab for a little tie-dye, lunch, and hang-out sesh. Not a bad way to kick off the summer ☀️😎

Just a glimpse into a pretty special night. 🎓

We had the best time celebrating our grads and everything they’ve worked so hard for. From the ceremony to the speeches, cheers, hugs, and proud families.. it was a night worth remembering.

To our grads: congratulations. We’re proud of you, and we can’t wait to see what you do next.

A closer look at the sawmill demo with our Carpentry crew!

This experience gave students a chance to see one piece of the process behind the materials they work with every day: moving the logs, lining things up, securing the material, making the first cuts, and watching raw wood start to take shape.

It was an incredibly cool opportunity to connect the materials they use in the lab with some of the work, equipment, and planning it takes to get those materials ready for a project.

Big shoutout to friend of the Carpentry crew, on YouTube, for letting us use his sawmill and helping make this demo possible for our students!

This place was absolutely booming today with employers, students, alumni, conversations, handshakes, business cards, and a whole lot of opportunity 😎

That’s what makes Career Fair day so good.

It’s not just about walking around and grabbing a free pen. It’s about having real conversations with employers, asking real questions, hearing real advice, and seeing how many directions a career in the trades can actually take you.

And right now, we all know trades are needed. Badly.

With more than 150 employers on campus, today was a clear reminder that skilled trades careers are full of opportunity, and our students and alumni are stepping into industries that help keep everything around us running.
