🍉Advisory Referendum Update🍉

While the Board says this referendum was "decidedly even," we say it is our victory!

We call on the EEFC Board to recognize this victory and remove Israeli products from the shelves of our co-op!

Co-ops Against Genocide will continue to inspire and educate the public on the power of boycotts, pushing for the store-wide boycott and the consumer boycott of Israeli-sourced goods.

The Board will be voting on whether or not to enact the boycott during the board meeting on Monday, June 15th at 7pm.

The meeting will be VIRTUAL ONLY, but we still want to "pack the room!" Personal statements are strongly encouraged!

Attend the meeting here: https://eastendfood.coop/board-of-directors/board-meetings/

Co-ops Against Genocide will issue an additional statement outlining our coalition's next steps following the 6/15 meeting.

Until victory!

“Seeds for Liberation” (2026) explores Palestinian resistance through impactful interviews with historians, activists, and experts. The film shows how social media has exposed daily life in Gaza and the West Bank - director Matthew Solomon centers Palestinian voices while also situating their liberation within a legacy of anti-imperialist and decolonial movements, from Black resistance in the U.S. to Chicano activism and beyond. This film asks: What does solidarity truly look like? And how do our struggles for justice grow from the same seed?
This film is touring the US and is nominated for Best Documentary, Best Director, and Best Cinematography at BHIFF 2026. Learn more at seedsforliberationmovie.com and at .

Opinion | The Silence That Meets the R**e of Palestinians 05/17/2026

https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1GsuU8MA9t/

The NY Times is covering the actual r**es; that is, of the Palestinian prisoners. The Zionists have perfected their torture system with the use of dogs. They are a despicable people. Truly. Several people are objecting to the article's inclusion that Hamas committed r**e on Oct 7th. We agree with these objections. The charge against Hamas has never been proven by anyone, and the NY Times repeated these accusations and false claims without any proof whatsoever. All of this needs to be said. There is ample evidence that Israelis r**e, maim, and murder Palestinians inside and outside of prison, and zero truth when attempting to balance or equate these crimes with those resisting occupation, including Hamas.

Opinion | The Silence That Meets the R**e of Palestinians Male and female Palestinians describe brutal sexual abuse at the hands of Israel’s prison guards, soldiers, settlers and interrogators.
