Allegheny County Department of Human Services was proud to celebrate Pride Month by participating in the Pittsburgh Pride Parade🏳️🌈🤝!
Staff from across DHS, including members of our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) and the Office of Children, Youth and Families (CYF), joined youth from We Rock Academy—a free recording and performance workshop for young people involved with child welfare services—to march in the parade and connect with community members.
DHS also hosted interactive activities, including a youth photo booth, a caricature artist and resource tables featuring information about DHS programs and services.
At DHS/In Allegheny County, we remain committed to fostering welcoming, inclusive and affirming spaces where LGBTQ+ youth, families and community members feel supported, valued and empowered to thrive.🏳️🌈🤝

Allegheny County Department of Human Services is proud to support MEE in achieving another video‑production win for the Connect Protect Recover campaign. That's two years in a row!
Their powerful storytelling is helping empower underserved BIPOC families to connect with high‑quality addiction programs, services and treatment. We’re grateful to collaborate on work that strengthens our communities and ensures everyone has access to the support they deserve.
Celebrating progress, partnership, and the power of youth voices. In April, more than 200 students from 10 schools across Allegheny County came together at the 13th Annual Stand Together Recognition Event to shine a light on mental health and substance use awareness.
Stand Together empowers middle and high school students to lead change in their own communities—reducing stigma, challenging misconceptions, and supporting peers who may be struggling. Their work is making a real impact, and we’re proud to celebrate everything they’ve accomplished this year.
Watch the recap to relive the day’s energy, inspiration, and hope for a better future. 💙
