Students had the opportunity to meet with CDC representatives stationed in Namibia, learning firsthand about infectious disease research and public health efforts in southern Africa. Even better? They asked thoughtful questions and left a lasting impression on our hosts.

Meet the Mary Davis lab!🔬

In the BYU Department of Microbiology and Molecular Biology, Dr. Mary Davis and her team use genetic data and machine learning to better understand diseases like multiple sclerosis—bringing personalized treatment closer to reality.

Students gain hands-on experience in coding, research, and collaboration while growing in both science and faith.
