Last Thursday, our school community gathered at our Memorial Day memorial to honor and remember those who gave their lives in service to our country. 🇺🇸
As our principal shared the stories behind the names engraved on the memorial, students were reminded of the true meaning of Memorial Day.
Thank you to our St. Regis high school volunteer Phil for helping clean and plant flowers at the memorial, and to the Catholic War Veterans members who visited and shared this meaningful tradition with our students and staff.
Today, we remember and honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice. 🇺🇸

Thank you to all of our students who participated in our dress-down day to support Dancing Dreams.
I was so happy to present Ms. Joann with a check in support of the wonderful work they do in adaptive dance, and she was incredibly grateful. It’s a beautiful reminder of how our school community comes together to make a difference. 💙

Lacrosse clinics recently came to St. Sebastian Catholic Academy, where seventh-grade boys and girls were introduced to the fundamentals of the “Medicine Game,” one of North America’s oldest sports. Hosted in partnership with Make It 8 and CityLax, students practiced catching, passing, cradling, scooping, dodging, and shooting while learning the sport’s history.
SSCA also received 30 STX Stallion 50 lacrosse sticks donated through Make It 8’s community outreach program and custom dyed by Lacrosse Unlimited expanding opportunities for student-athletes. 🥍
Participating NYC Lacrosse Coaches:
• Harrison Weisner — Director, Make It 8; former Trinity School lacrosse coach
• Mike Kovach — former Trinity School lacrosse coach
• Mathew Levine — Founder, CityLax & Doc’s NYC Lacrosse
• Ryan Garling — Field Director, CityLax & Doc’s NYC Lacrosse; Head Coach, City College of New York Men’s Lacrosse Club
