Congratulations to NC State’s Aerial Robotics Club!

ARC went to the California Unmanned Aerial Systems Competitions (C-UASC) this June, in which they achieved 2nd place in the Design competition 🏅

Kavik is a fixed-wing, fully electric aircraft with versatile mission capability. Though the wind caused a crash during Kavik's flight, the experience has given the ARC team a better vision of how to approach competition in the future.

Congratulations to ’s High-Powered Rocketry Team on winning several awards at competition this year!

HPRC was closest to their specified apogee (target apogee: 4600 ft, actual apogee: 4606 ft). After landing, payload was ejected from the rocket, self-righted, and attempted to collect a soil sample.

The team won:
🏅 3rd place overall
🏅STEM Engagement Award
🏅 Altitude Award
🏅 Best Looking Rocket Award

We know our team worked incredibly hard to accomplish this feat!

We're wishing luck to NC State's Pack Motorsports Baja SAE team as they begin their first day of competition at the Palmyra Association motocross track!

The team is traveling to Rochester, NY from June 11-14 to compete against over 100 universities.

Over the course of the 4 days, Baja will be tested in multiple ways. They will go through inspection, present their design, test the car's acceleration, maneuverability, hill climb, and suspension & traction and finally test their endurance in a race against the other cars.

Baja is taking 30 of NC State COE's best and brightest students to competition. Last competition season, NC State Baja had two 8th place finishes, and we have high hopes for the team's return!

is sending good energy to our Aerial Robotics Club (ARC) this weekend while they participate in the California Unmanned Aerial Systems Competition!

ARC is a multidisciplinary team of engineering students that design, build and test an unmanned aerial system. Their aircraft, Kavik, will compete against over 30 teams from universities around the country, along with a few international teams. The competition tests team's abilities to build an unmanned aerial system to complete a series of missions such as payload release, waypoint navigation and target localization.

Good luck to the ARC team as they showcase electrical, mechanical and software systems within their aircraft 🛫

The 2026 ME Senior Design Symposium was a success!

students have spent the past year working with sponsors to hone their skills and learn about how a project will unfold in the field. Over three days, each group has presented their project and demonstrated what they have learned.
