We’re still celebrating this incredible achievement from the spring season! 🩵
At the NCISAA Division I State Track & Field Championships in May, Mia Gregg-Kearns '28 capped off an outstanding sophomore season by claiming the state championship in discus and setting a new Saint Mary's School record in the event. She also earned a 5th-place finish in high jump and a 7th-place finish in the 400m, showcasing her versatility across multiple events.
Jana Black '27 also represented the Saints on the state stage, earning an 8th-place finish in discus and competing in shot put.
As we look back on a memorable year of accomplishments, we're proud to celebrate these student-athletes and all they achieved through hard work, dedication, and perseverance. Congratulations, Mia and Jana! 💙🏅

The summer travel adventures continue! 🌎🇩🇴
These photos come from our service-learning experience in the Dominican Republic, where students partnered with the DREAM Project to teach STEM lessons, connect with local students, and learn through meaningful cultural exchange.
From leading hands-on activities at the DREAM Center to exploring cacao farms, local communities, and the natural beauty of the region, students experienced firsthand what it means to teach, explore, and connect.
Travel experiences like these encourage students to step beyond their comfort zones, broaden their perspectives, and make a lasting impact—both on others and themselves. 🩵

Bonjour from Lyon! 🇫🇷
Our students are spending two weeks in Lyon, France as part of a group exchange and language immersion experience. While abroad, they are attending school alongside French students, living with host families, practicing their language skills in everyday life, and experiencing the culture firsthand through activities like cooking classes and local excursions.
The benefits of a group exchange are countless, but perhaps the greatest is the opportunity to step outside of your comfort zone, build meaningful connections, and gain a deeper understanding of the world around you.
Travel experiences like these are a vital part of learning at Saint Mary's, opening doors to new perspectives, cultures, and opportunities around the world. ✈️🌎🩵

One of the most cherished traditions of a Saint Mary’s Commencement is the giving of the iris. 🩵
For decades, graduates have carried blue irises through the Grove as they mark the end of one chapter and the beginning of the next. Blooming across campus each spring, the iris has become a lasting symbol of Commencement Day and all it represents.
Traditionally associated with faith, hope, and wisdom, the blue iris reflects the journey of every Saint Mary’s student—the faith nurtured through community and Chapel, the hopes and dreams carried into the future, and the wisdom gained along the way.
Since 2007, underclasswomen have continued the tradition by presenting each senior with an iris before the procession begins. As graduates cross the stage, their flowers are placed in the historic brass urn gifted by the High School Class of 1987, creating a beautiful visual reminder of a class united by shared memories, experiences, and sisterhood.

From ancient myths to breathtaking ruins, our students are experiencing Greece one unforgettable moment at a time. 🇬🇷✨
Over the past few days, they’ve explored the ruins of Ancient Corinth, walked through the Temple of Zeus at Nemea, visited the legendary site of Elefsina, wandered the charming streets of Nafplio, and even boarded an overnight ferry bound for Crete. Along the way, they’ve enjoyed traditional Greek cuisine, discovered fascinating pieces of history, and taken in the stunning landscapes and rich culture that make Greece so unique.
Learning comes to life when students can stand where history happened, connect classroom knowledge to real places, and experience new cultures firsthand. Experiences like these are at the heart of Saint Mary's commitment to global education, helping students broaden their perspectives, deepen their understanding of the world, and become engaged global citizens. 🩵
