Krispy Kreme and Peace have been neighbors for a very long time.

One of my favorite things to do at Peace was to go to Krispy Kreme, and luckily, I lived on the fourth floor, so I could walk off some of the calories. �Mary (Sears) Pettus '48
I remember being able to sign out and walk to Krispy Kreme donuts, which was a big deal back then.

I have several food-related memories of Peace. One was Krispy Kreme's, which was half a block from Peace. The aroma of fresh, hot donuts permeated the air. I went there every day. I have so many memories of my time at Peace.

A Peace Time Capsule was buried on Thursday, April 27, 1972, as part of the Centennial Celebration. What do you think it contains? A popular vinyl record or 8-track tape? A Lotus yearbook? It’s scheduled to be opened in 2072, so we have to wait a while to find out for sure.
