Lest We Drift: A Gospel Tune-Up - Friendship Baptist Church 06/18/2026

This summer, stay anchored in Christ. We must remember:

• our works earn us nothing
• the Spirit gives us life
• the invitation is open to all

And we fight the drift by intentionally fixing our eyes on Christ. Read more from Pastor Kris on the FBC blog.

Lest We Drift: A Gospel Tune-Up - Friendship Baptist Church About a year and a half ago, Pastor Kris Wilder received a guitar. As he began learning to play, he quickly discovered something: if he didn’t regularly tune it, it would drift out of tune. In the same way, Hebrews 2:1 warns us that our hearts drift away from the gospel through neglect.

💫 Relive the moment! 🏆

One month ago today, our Lady Falcons soccer team captured FCS’s first-ever state NCISAA championship on a scorching Saturday afternoon!

After four overtime periods, the teams remained locked in a 0-0 tie, sending the game to penalty kicks. FCS goalkeeper Claire Perry stopped all six shots she faced. Then, with the championship on the line, she stepped up and buried the game-winning PK into the top left corner of the net!

“Even before the championship game, this group of girls was already playing like champions,” said Head Coach Bob DeAngelo. “The final game simply added a trophy to what the girls had accomplished this season. All glory to God for allowing us to win the state championship!”

Way to go, Lady Falcons! ⚽🏆
