Our last week of school is upon us as we wrap another exciting year at Poe Magnet Elementary!

We are thrilled to celebrate Mrs. Stewart for receiving a Wake County Public School System May Employee Excellence Award! 🎉

Mrs. Stewart truly goes above and beyond in service to our students, staff, and families each and every day. As an instructional leader, she leads with integrity, compassion, and a “whatever it takes” mindset to ensure every child experiences high-quality instruction.

While many know her as a transportation coordinator, disciplinarian, and resource manager, her impact reaches far beyond those roles. She is a driving force behind our school’s vision—helping cultivate a learning environment where both students and staff can thrive.

Bravo to our talented orchestra students!

Our year-end concert was a beautiful showcase of the incredible gifts and dedication of our young musicians. From violins to violas, each performance highlighted the hard work and passion our students have poured into their craft all year long.

We are so proud of their growth and can’t wait to see (and hear!) what they accomplish next.

Our final piano recital was a celebration of our talented keyboard elective students—from those just beginning their musical journey to those who have been playing for years. Each performance showcased growth, confidence, and a love of music that filled the room.

A special shoutout to Mrs. Russell for sharing the stage and dueting with several of her students—what a memorable experience!

Our dance elective students lit up the stage—each performance a powerful reflection of months of dedication, growth, and teamwork. From the first step to the final bow, their hard work truly shined.

Today, we honor the heroes who gave everything for our freedom. 🇺🇸 Poe Magnet Elementary remembers and thanks them for their service.
