On June 19, 1865, the last enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas, finally learned of their freedom. Today, we honor Juneteenth by celebrating the resilience, courage, and determination that continue to inspire generations.

As we reflect on the past, we also look toward the future with hope, unity, and a shared commitment to strengthening our communities.

Summer of Learning begins next week!

There’s still time to register for summer learning opportunities designed to help students stay engaged, build new skills, and prepare for the year ahead.

From academic support and enrichment activities to internships, dual enrollment courses, and credit recovery, Summer of Learning offers opportunities for students at every grade level.
