Learning, leading, and giving back!
Our AVID 10 students have been making a positive impact both in our school community and beyond. Last Friday, students visited residents at Life Care Center, where they spent time visiting, singing together, and decorating cookies. It was a wonderful opportunity to build connections across generations and brighten someone's day.
Earlier in the week, a group of AVID 10 students put their leadership skills into action by creating and facilitating a lesson on leadership and group roles for Mrs. Lanning's 2nd grade class at Wiley Elementary. Our students did an outstanding job teaching younger learners while gaining valuable experience as leaders themselves.
We are proud of these Falcons for demonstrating service, leadership, and kindness in our community. Great work, AVID 10! 🟣🟡

History was made today.
At the WIAA State Track & Field Championships, Hanford sophomore Jonathan Allen didn't just break a school record—he broke the all-time Washington State high school record in the pole vault.
This photo captures Jonathan clearing an incredible 17'3", but he wasn't finished yet. He then soared over 17'6", setting a new Washington State high school record and cementing his place in state history.
What an unbelievable accomplishment by one of our Falcons. Jonathan's hard work, dedication, and competitive spirit have taken him to the very top. We couldn't be more proud of him and all he has accomplished.
Congratulations, Jonathan! 🟣🟡
