As we settle into summer, we’re still smiling about the incredible Third Grade Variety Show on the last day of school! What talent! What energy! From singing and dancing to comedy and creative performances, our third graders absolutely stole the show and had the audience cheering from start to finish. It was the perfect way to celebrate an amazing school year and kick off summer break in true Dragon style!

As we approach the close of our fiscal year on June 30, we are filled with deep gratitude for the many ways our vibrant community supported St. Michael’s this year — with your time, your trust, your presence, and your generosity. From the daily wonder sparked in our classrooms, the discovery and exploration on our campus trails, and the magic of the Newsies JR. musical and the Christmas Tree Lighting & Parade, to the team spirit on the athletic fields, and the laughter and fun of Magic Dragon Day, this has been a year of joyful growth, purpose, and connection. And your support of the Annual Fund has made it possible. If you haven’t yet made a gift — or are inspired to do a little more — there’s still time! Every contribution, big or small, helps shape the St. Michael’s experience for our Dragons and empowers us to reach even higher in the year ahead. THANK YOU for believing in the mission, spirit, and future of St. Michael’s! MAKE A GIFT TODAY: https://www.givecampus.com/campaigns/68762/donations/new

With great love, pride, and a few happy tears under a sunny blue and white sky, we celebrated 50 eighth grade Dragons as they received their diplomas — officially joining the esteemed ranks of St. Michael’s alumni. Our two Head of School Award recipients, Max Nedeff and Sebastian Petroski, delivered reflections on what truly matters: remembering to find your joy and that there is always something to look forward to and the importance of innovation and gratitude. To the Class of 2026, congratulations and best wishes on the journey ahead. Keep soaring and shining! And remember: Once a Dragon, ALWAYS a Dragon!

On the eve of graduation, our eighth graders, families, and faculty gathered for a Baccalaureate Service to reflect upon our graduating students' time at St. Michael's and the road ahead. The themes of the service were "LIGHT" and the firm foundation our students have received at St M. With bright minds and bright futures ahead, the Very Rev. Dr. Godsey invited our eighth graders to walk as children of the light and to always reflect light into darkness. Each of our graduates then came forward to light a candle in thanks for the light they received at St M and as a commitment to let their lights shine brightly into the world. Godspeed, Class of 2026!

Last week, our eighth grade Dragons proudly began their transition to alumni. Dressed in shirts representing their future high schools, they celebrated the start of the next chapter while filling a Class of 2026 time capsule that will be reopened at their 10-year reunion. The fun continued with a pizza party lunch and a surprise Kona Ice treat. Between the memories, laughter, and sweet treats, it was the perfect way to launch graduation week!

Each year, the Head of School Award is presented to the two students who achieve the highest overall academic average during their eighth grade year. As recipients of this distinguished honor, they are also selected to speak at graduation. Congratulations to this year’s honorees, Max Nedeff and Sebastian Petroski!

To Our Class of 2026: We hope you never look back but you never forget, ALL the ones who love you and the special place you left. We hope you always FORGIVE and you never regret, And that you HELP somebody EVERY chance you get. May you find God’s GRACE in every mistake, And always GIVE MORE than you take. But more than anything, this is OUR WISH... We hope you know WE LOVE YOU and may all your DREAMS STAY BIG! (Paraphrased from Rascal Flatts as it summed up all that we wish for this eighth grade class.) We can't wait to watch you SHINE! Happy Graduation Day!
