Getting started on setting up new garden beds in my front yard!

We had a video go VIRAL!

Please sign our petition in support of ending this horrible, dangerous plastic netting. It kills thousands/millions of birds, reptiles, and small mammals. There is NO reason to use this... It's supposed to reduce erosion, but grass will do that and grows very quickly. We need to do better.

Thank you!

There's nothing quite like the feeling of creating fire from natural materials and sitting beside it in front of a shelter you built yourself.

Our wilderness survival classes teach practical, hands-on skills that build confidence, self-reliance, and a deeper connection to nature.

Tell me: What's the one survival skill you've always wanted to learn?

I've heard many teenagers and young adults today don't have life skills - but I haven't seen it among all the kids I know. All my kids can cook at least a handful of things, can feed all the pets, put the ducks and chickens away, know how fold laundry, fix a sandwich, can make a garden bed, read a seed packet, and plant on their own, and manage their finances, including investing. I mean, our lifestyle is probably a bit different than the average one, but still even among kids who don't have farm animals, I haven't observed a lack of life skills...

What are your experiences with kids and life skills?
