With 15 years of experience in LCISD, Ms. Cantu brings a strong background in student support, behavior management, and academic intervention. After 12 impactful years at DAEP, she has continued making a difference at Terry through Credit Recovery, AVID, and her leadership as Head Cheer Coach and Head Girls Flag Football Coach—building confidence, teamwork, and resilience in our students.

As we kick off our Game On year, Ms. Cantu is ready to take the lead in fostering a positive campus culture where every student is supported and challenged to succeed. Her experience, leadership, and heart for students make her an incredible addition to Ranger Nation.

Outside of school, she enjoys time with her family, being on the water, cooking, dancing, and competing in darts tournaments.

Please help us welcome Taylor Qualls, our new Health Science teacher at Terry High School!

Ms. Qualls is a proud Lamar CISD graduate and brings real-world healthcare experience to the classroom, having worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at both MD Anderson and Houston Methodist. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and is currently pursuing her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Inspired by her mother’s 35+ years as an OB/GYN nurse, she is passionate about helping students explore future careers in healthcare.

As we kick off our Game On year, Ms. Qualls is ready to equip students with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed both in the classroom and beyond. Her experience, passion, and heart for service make her a great fit for Ranger Nation.

Outside of school, she enjoys serving on her church’s worship team, attending concerts, fishing, cheering on her two children, and spending time with family and friends (and her dog, Mable!).

We are excited to introduce Jocelynn Witt, our new SLC Paraprofessional at Terry High School!

Ms. Witt joins us with experience from George and is entering her fourth year on the red track. She continues to work toward her degree and certification, with plans to teach social studies or agriculture. Her commitment to growing in the field of education and supporting students makes her a great addition to Ranger Nation.

As we kick off our Game On year, Ms. Witt is ready to jump in, support our students, and make a difference every day. Her heart for learning and dedication to helping others will be a huge win for our campus.

Outside of school, she enjoys spending time with her favorite second grader, making memories both in and out of the classroom.

Ms. Arriaga brings 10 years of experience in LCISD and a true heart for serving others. She is passionate about supporting students, families, and staff, and she is ready to make a positive impact each day.

As we kick off our Game On year, Ms. Arriaga is stepping into her role ready to assist, connect, and keep our campus running strong. Her positive energy and commitment to helping others make her a perfect fit for Ranger Nation.

When she is not at school, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, laughing, playing games, listening to music, and traveling.

We are excited to introduce our newest math teacher, Emma Owen, to Ranger Nation!

Ms. Owen is a graduate of the University of Arkansas with a degree in Mathematics. Originally from the Katy area, she returns to Texas after teaching for a year in Arkansas and is ready to jump into this next chapter.

As we kick off our Game On year, Ms. Owen is stepping onto the field ready to make an impact. Her passion for math and excitement for teaching will help our students level up and succeed.
