This week, Pre-K students in 's Emergent Bilingual Summer School Program visited the Foster and Tomas FFA ag barn, where they explored agriculture through interactive lessons and live animal experiences.

During the June 9 Board Meeting, the Board of Trustees approved the 2026-2027 budget, including increased teacher compensation and raises for district employees.
The approved budget includes:
๐ Teacher starting salary increased to $68,900
๐ $2,200 increase from the 2025-2026 school year
๐ 3% raise for all other district employees
These investments reflect Lamar CISD's commitment to Excellence, Accountability, and Big Thinking as we continue attracting and retaining exceptional employees to serve our growing community.

Congratulations to Dr. Thomas E Randle High School โs Landen Williams-Callis, who has been named one of just 12 finalists for the Houston Chronicleโs Boys Athlete of the Year award!
Landenโs hard work, dedication, and impact throughout the 2025-2026 school year have earned him recognition among some of the top student-athletes in the Houston area.
Now, the community has a chance to help celebrate his accomplishment by casting a vote.

We are proud of the Police Department for partnering with the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office to support the Kids & Cops Summer Camp. Through experiences like these, students have the opportunity to build positive relationships with law enforcement, make new friends, and enjoy a summer filled with fun and learning.

๐ Planning ahead for the 2026-2027 school year?
Families are encouraged to complete the Student Transportation Form in Skyward Family Access as soon as possible. Submitting your form early helps our Transportation Department plan routes and ensures a smoother start to the school year.
All students must have a transportation form on file, regardless of how they travel to and from school.
