“The exhibit elicits strong feelings and emotions: awe and amazement, curiosity and wonder, disappointment and frustration with the current state of education, but also a great deal of hope and optimism because in Reggio Emilia, the vision of the possible is possible.”

Bordercrossings: Encounters with Living Things / Digital Landscapes
This tells the story of digital environments that are not about distraction—they are about connection, exploration, and expression. Children are seen as authors of their own learning, actively constructing ideas and shared imaginaries across both analog and digital languages.
The exhibition Bordercrossings – Encounters with Living Things / Digital Landscapes Catalog brings this beautifully to life, showcasing projects where children investigate the natural world up close—through their senses, theories, questions, and the tools that extend their inquiry.
Rather than “turning down the volume” on technology, these experiences amplify it—revealing digital tools as another language for thinking, wondering, and making meaning together.
A playful reminder: when children explore the world, even pixels can become poetry.

What if we made space for children’s ideas, theories, marks, materials, and languages to be taken seriously?
The Mosaics of Marks, Words, Materials Exhibition + Atelier is more than an exhibition — it is a call to disrupt the status quo in education. It challenges us to rethink what learning can look like when children are recognized as powerful protagonists in the construction of knowledge.
Opening next week in Vermont, this experience invites educators, families, schools, and communities into a deeper conversation about creativity, research, narration, and the expressive potential of materials.
We are looking for future hosts 2029 and beyond.
🔸 Bring bold professional learning to your community
🔸 Create space for dialogue that questions traditional systems
🔸 Inspire educators to imagine new possibilities alongside children

Buy a Bundle: Innovations Volume 23 Bundle
The four-volume Innovations bundle offers a rich window into the Reggio Emilia Approach, tracing how its principles come alive across classrooms and communities worldwide.
Across the collection, a clear throughline emerges: learning as relational, democratic, and co-constructed.
🔸 Volume 1 centers on participation and listening within schools as public spaces.
🔸Volume 2 explores the atelier and the “hundred languages” as powerful modes of expression.
🔸 Volume 3 highlights research as a daily practice of inquiry between children and educators.
🔸 Volume 4 expands this vision to children’s rights and civic participation.
Together, these volumes illuminate an evolving educational philosophy grounded in ethics, creativity, and collective meaning-making.

The NAREA Study Group in Reggio Emilia arrives in Reggio Emilia at a remarkable moment—when the city is celebrating the art of story through Reggionarra.
Once again, the city is dotted with stories. Venti di storie, through the “Winds of Stories”, a theme that recalls the many winds that have crossed Reggio Emilia in recent years: different voices, languages, perspectives on childhood, and tales capable of creating relationships and community.
Reggionarra was born within an educational system that has long embraced storytelling as a cultural practice. It feels especially meaningful that this celebration intertwines with other important anniversaries: the 20th anniversary of the Loris Malaguzzi International Center, the Reggio Children International Network, and several schools and infant-toddler centers that have helped shape the city’s educational history.
What a powerful beginning for participants—arriving in a city where learning, imagination, and community are alive in every piazza and pathway.
