Please watch, like, and share this video to help spread the word about the culture, businesses, and community that continue to thrive at Florin Square. The Nubian Family Marketplace, formerly known as the African Marketplace, was born here and continues to provide opportunities for Black-owned businesses, artists, entrepreneurs, and community organizations.
Florin Square is also home to the Sojourner Truth African Heritage Museum and many other businesses and resources that have served our community for decades.
Many people have shared opinions—both positive and critical—about the sale of the Florin Square property. While those concerns are understandable, there is still an opportunity for the community to come together and support solutions that preserve the legacy, culture, and economic impact of this historic space. The goal is to ensure that Florin Square remains a place where our history is honored, our businesses can grow, and future generations can thrive.
And remember, the Nubian Family Marketplace takes place on the first and third Saturday of every month, bringing together vendors, food, culture, music, resources, and community fellowship. We invite you to come out, shop local, support small businesses, and be part of the movement.
Watch the video, share your memories, and help keep the story of Florin Square alive.

Always a great time with family and community!
Thank you to everyone who came out and showed love. We truly appreciate your support. For those asking how you can help, the best way is to come out to the next Nubian Family Marketplace, shop with our vendors, and support the growing businesses in our community.
Every purchase, share, and word of encouragement helps these entrepreneurs continue to grow. We can't wait to see you at the next one!
