Happy Juneteenth Freedom Day!
On Juneteenth we commemorate the emancipation of the last enslaved African Americans in Texas. Also known as Freedom Day, this is an important and deeply personal holiday for our community and truthfully acknowledges a period in our history that shaped and continues to influence our society today. In observance of Juneteenth, all district offices and facilities will be closed.

We are very sad to announce that our fourth grade teacher Maestro Martinez will not be at Chacon next year after 34 years of service, he is one of the founding teachers of our bilingual program and a pillar of our school, we don’t know what we will do without him! 😭😭😭
