We remember. We honor. We carry them with us. ๐ฏ๏ธ๐ณ๏ธโ๐
Ten years ago today, 49 lives were taken at Pulse in Orlando in an act of hatred targeting the LGBTQ+ community.
A decade later, we continue to remember and honor the lives, love, and joy they brought into this world. We also honor the survivors whose courage and resilience continue to inspire us, and recognize the strength and unity that emerged in the face of unimaginable heartbreak.
Today, we invite our community to join St Pete Pride, Justice Over Everything, Contigo Fund, and the Democratic Hispanic Caucus of Pinellas County at the former Progressive Pride Street Mural on Central Ave at 2 p.m. for a special Pulse remembrance event. Together, we will gather in reflection and solidarity.
Their light lives on. Their legacy endures. And our fight continues.
Remember even in the face of adversity we are incredibly resilient. That doesn't mean the fight won't be hard it means the fight is worth it! Thanks to Rep Ashley V. Gantt for the timely reminder!

Why do I speak about politics on my platform?
Because it directly shapes how leaders leadโand who gets to lead.
As an executive coach and DEI strategist, I donโt have the luxury of being disconnected from the systems my clients operate in. Politics influences access, opportunity, pressure, and power. If I ignore that, Iโm not doing my job.
And more than awarenessโthereโs responsibility.
I use my voice because staying silent in systems that impact peopleโs ability to exist, lead, and succeed is not neutral. Itโs a choice.
