What an incredible turnout at this year’s WP Chess Tournament! A huge thank you to Bert van Uitert, who shows up every Monday morning to teach, coach, and organize chess club for nearly 100 kids. His dedication makes opportunities like this possible. From kindergarten through 5th grade, students of all skill levels came ready to play, compete, and have fun. With trophies, shirts, and pizza!

A huge thank you to Imagine Landscape for replacing all the overgrown pokey bushes by the kindergarten doors and with water wise ornamental grasses and rock. It looks fantastic!

We had 4 Willam Penn 5th graders: Ivory, Bianca, Elenor and Leo (not pictured) as science fair finalists competing at the U of U this week. Way to go penguins!!!
