Over the past few days, our little gardeners in our 4-5 year old class at our Eastside Preschool have embarked on an exciting journey to create a beehive using an old barrel!
Each day, they gathered together to brainstorm and add new elements to their hive. From paints and tools to objects shaped like honeycombs (think tops of screws!), the creativity has been buzzing!

The class was buzzing with ideas on how to enhance their collaborative masterpiece, which led to paper mache, using recycled materials!

They've delved into discussions about how different bees and wasps build their hives. They’ve discussed how bees are hard workers. They’ve listened to flight of a bumble bee several times throughout the process.

The children have had so much fun experimenting with textures and colors. They noticed how mixing paints created a beautiful blend that resembled mud and honey, and they loved how the paint felt thick and slimy, just like the real thing!

We have loved seeing how their beehive came to life.

They say it takes a big heart to shape little minds, and Amy has the biggest heart around. For 14 years, she has been the guiding light in our preschools—ensuring our littlest learners are safe, loved, and constantly exploring the world around them.

Currently she is managing a world of diapers, first steps, and big toddler emotions which requires a special kind of superhero, and Amy does it with grace, expertise, and a giant smile every day. Thank you for 14 years of outstanding leadership and for giving our youngest students the best possible start.

It takes a village to run a preschool, but every village needs a captain. Today, we want to shine a massive spotlight on our Regional Director, Lacey!
Lacey is the quiet force and the steady glue behind everything we do. She often gets tasked with the things no one else likes or wants to do. Whether she is tackling big administrative mountains or stepping into a classroom to wipe a tear, her impact is felt in every single corner of our schools.

Thank you for your brilliant leadership, your endless patience, the enthusiasm, and for holding us all together so beautifully. We are so lucky to have you guiding us.
