Gabriel Castro, grandson of Mestre Telinho da Mangueira and godson of João Nogueira, 2x Estandarte de Ouro, 5x Sambanet, 4x SRZD, choreographer, writer, samba dance teacher and the youngest passista director in the history of the Sapucaí, debuting at age 17 at Império da Tijuca. A teacher with experience in 10 countries and 3 continents, the most awarded professional in the current carnival, accumulating more than 57 awards.

Trainer of great passistas, muses, queens and teachers. In addition to being the creator of the biggest samba dance event in Brazil, Eu Sambo Assim.

Gabriel is the current passista director for Unidos de Vila Isabel, Vigário Geral and G.R.E.S. Andaraí - Vitória - ES, front commission choreographer for Acadêmicos da Barra da Tijuca, Andaraí - Vitória - ES and G.R.E.S. Bota - Sesimbra - Portugal.
