Please join me in sending a huge congratulations to Haily Caddell, Aiden Moreno, and Ruby Cox for their outstanding achievements in the Texas PTA Reflections Contest for the Arts.

The National PTA Reflections program is a long-standing arts recognition initiative that encourages students to explore their creativity and express themselves through original works in various categories such as film, visual arts, music, dance, literature, and photography. Each year, students create and submit original pieces inspired by a unifying theme, advancing through local, regional, and state levels of competition.

This year’s theme, “I Belong,” inspired each of our students to submit original film pieces that truly showcased their creativity and voice.

We are especially proud to share that Aiden Moreno’s film finished in the top grouping of all students in the state of Texas, earning him an Overall Award of Excellence. Ruby Cox and Haily Caddell both surpassed the regional level, with their films earning an Award of Merit and an Award of Excellence.

This is a wonderful example of how our EC students continue to shine and stand out through their talent, creativity, and hard work.

A huge thank you and special shout out to Mr. McGinnis, who fosters a love for film, creativity, and encourages students to be their whole selves. Your impact is truly making a difference.

Let’s face it — high school campuses can get pretty germy! 🤧 In an effort to keep our students and teachers healthy this season, our PTSA has bought with some help from H-E-B to provide tissues, disinfectant spray, and wipes across campus.

It’s a small step that makes a big difference in keeping our HIVE healthy, happy, and thriving this fall. 🍂🐝

This week, our PTSA wanted to spread a little warmth and say thank you to our amazing teachers and staff who pour so much heart into our students every day. We stocked every copy room and mailroom with new Keurigs, new mugs for each teacher,, and plenty of coffee, tea, cider, and hot chocolate so they can take a well-deserved moment to recharge. 💛🐝

If you’d like to help us keep our teachers’ coffee and tea stations stocked all year long, we’d love your support! Donations of K-Cups, tea, or creamer/sugar can be sent to the PTSA at the high school (Room 3101 with Mrs. Ayres, PTSA President).

Thank you for helping us show our staff just how much they’re appreciated — because when we take care of our teachers, we take care of our kids. 💛

We’re accepting any fabric, clothing, or bedding — in any condition! 👕🧣👢

Did you know… our incredible custodial team of fewer than 20 takes care of 270 teachers and more than 3,500 students EVERY single day here at ECHS? 🤯👏 Their dedication, hard work, and countless hours behind the scenes keep our school safe, clean, and running smoothly.
The ECHS PTSA is so grateful for all they do, and as a small token of appreciation, we treated them to breakfast and lunch today. 🌮🍗 It’s just a tiny way to say “thank you” for their BIG impact on our school community.
