God of light, help us feel peace.

Where have you seen God’s peace today?

Take some time as a family to talk about where you’ve seen or felt God today or this week. A "God sighting" is when you and your family take a moment to think about where you noticed God during the day. Maybe it was in a moment of kindness, when someone stood up for another when you noticed something beautiful in nature that reminded you of God, or a time you felt close to God.

As a family, read the scripture Luke 1:28-38, Matthew 1:18-24.

Just like Mary and Joseph, we can show God’s light by trusting God, following God, and helping others. When we are kind and brave and follow God's plan, people around us can see God’s love shining through us!

Take time to do an Advent or holiday activity as a family! You might choose to watch a Christmas movie or play a game together. Maybe your family decides to make hot chocolate and drive around to see the lights or stay in and decorate cookies together. However your family likes to have fun, do more of that!

As a family, create a Christmas music dance party! Search for “Christmas Dance Party”on your favorite music platform, turn up the volume, and have some fun dancing in your living room!

Take some time as a family to talk about where you’ve seen or felt God today or this week. As a family, read the scripture Isaiah 9:6-7.

Jesus was exactly what the people needed and still gives hope to the whole world today. When the prophets shared these messages, they also shared God’s light and love with the world. This week, let’s find ways to help others feel hope, too.
