Reflecting on a milestone evening for this week's . ๐๏ธโจ
We want to extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who made our 40th Annual Auction & Gala at the Security Service Event Center a massive success. It was wonderful to connect with so many of our current parents, alumni and our Winston Community during the Happy Hour, dinner, and auctions, and to celebrate together with Passing Strangers at the after-party.
The incredible support of our community ensures we can continue our mission for years to come. Thank you for your dedication and generosity. ๐ฅ
๐ Mark Your Calendars: The 41st Annual Auction & Gala is officially set for April 3, 2027. We look forward to seeing you there!

Every student learns differently, and every activity is an opportunity to grow.
In Mrs. Guzman's Strengthening Reading & Writing class, our 1stโ5th grade summer school students stayed engaged through a variety of targeted learning experiences. While some students worked in small groups on reading comprehension, others strengthened their listening skills or practiced sentence structure through interactive sentence scrambles.
By meeting students where they are and providing differentiated instruction, we're helping build confidence, strengthen foundational literacy skills, and foster a lifelong love of learning!

Over the next few weeks, we'll be sharing family-friendly activities connected to our core values of Integrity, Kindness, Passion, Collaboration, and Excellence.
Whether it's serving others, setting goals, exploring new interests, or simply spending quality time together, small moments can have a lasting impact.
Next is Kindness!

Dyscalculia is often described by what makes learning difficult, but that doesn't tell the whole story.
Many students with dyscalculia develop remarkable strengths in communication, collaboration, hands-on learning, observation, and flexible thinking. Their talents may shine through art, storytelling, design, music, problem-solving, or the unique ways they approach the world around them.
Every student's profile is different, and no list can define an individual. By looking beyond the challenges and recognizing each learner's strengths, we create opportunities for confidence, growth, and success.
Different ways of learning can lead to extraordinary ways of thinking!

Learning is even sweeter when it's hands-on! ๐๐๐
Our 6thโ8th grade Spanish Summer Class recently explored the names of different fruits in Spanish in the most delicious way possible: by slicing, identifying, and enjoying a variety of fresh fruits together.
By connecting vocabulary to real-life experiences, students are able to engage multiple senses, make meaningful connections, and have fun while they learn.

Exploring today; preparing for tomorrow.
Our Summer Exploration Camp is well under way, giving students the opportunity to experience college beyond the brochures. By visiting a variety of campuses, meeting with admissions staff, and reflecting on their experiences, students gain valuable insight into different learning environments, academic opportunities, and campus cultures.
Whether they're beginning to dream about the future or narrowing down their options, these firsthand experiences help students build confidence and make informed decisions about the path that's right for them!
