It would be hard-pressed to not recognize the current myriad of challenges presenting difficulties within the international operating environment.
To be quite candid, as some of you know, I have long enjoyed establishing relationships with FM professionals and advocates across our global community. As a military veteran, it should come as no surprise that a growing desire to help resolve these conflicts could be viewed as a call to duty. It is particularly rewarding when do so also provides an opportunity to serve with a team whom I've come to admire and respect.
Consequently, I am thankful to accept the opportunity of returning to the US State Department's Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations (OBO) Industry Advisory Group. Sharing the latest FM concepts, methods, best practices, innovations, and ideas from industry and academia can directly support OBO's mission to provide safe, secure, and functional facilities in accordance with U.S. foreign policy objectives.
Photos really don't capture the splendor of this conferencing facility nor the beauty of the surrounding vicinity.
I am truly thankful that we receive these opportunities to provide professional development services to others, wherever they are located in our global facility management community.
Best regards … Thomas LeRoy Mitchell Jr., CFM, IFMA Fellow

We're not only appreciative of every opportunity to express thoughts on the critical role education plays in the development of facility management practitioners, but also the professional pleasure derived from the longstanding partnership FM3IS Associates has with LEORON Professional Development Institute, who is also committed to advancing the facility management profession across the globe.
Words cannot express how surprised and humbling it was for our own Thomas LeRoy Mitchell, Jr. to recently receive and accept an invitation to speak during the Egypt Facility Management Forum 2022, held in from 22-23 March at Cairo’s Dusit Thani, LakeView Hotel.
We’re absolutely looking forward to this second visit and opportunity to further advance the practice of our global profession on the world's second largest continent, both in size and population.

Though the trip was a combination of work and play, the experience of IFMA World Workplace 2021 was absolutely incredible all the way. After a 5 year hiatus due to scheduling conflicts (as Apostle Paul shares in 2 Thessalonians 3:10, CEV, “if you don’t work, you don’t eat) is was great to reconnect with family and friends again.
GOD willing, Thomas LeRoy Mitchell, Jr. will participate at World Workplace 2022 held in Nashville, Tennessee!

If the option to participate in person isn't feasible, then the opportunity to do so virtually is absolutely available.
Either way, this will be the first opportunity to gain knowledge about the facility management profession, in terms of its advancement and impact across the African continent.
Words cannot express how very pleasing and humbling it is to receive and accept the invitation to serve as the keynote speaker during the African Facilities Management Conference, scheduled 22-23 November in Abuja, Nigeria.
This will be a hybrid event, so planning is also underway to meet the needs of those who are interested in attending virtually (https://fmceafrica.com/).
Absolutely looking forward to this first-time opportunity of being a part of this tremendous effort to further advance the practice of our global profession on the world's second largest continent, both in size and population.
