Fishers of Men Fellowship & Bible Study

Yes. The Men’s Bible Study and Fellowship continues this Thursday (today) at Dennys access road of Hwy 90 & Military Drive 78227.

We meet in the private room in the back. Bring a friend.

Praise God. 18 men young and old came together to learn what the Scriptures say about Christ. Thank you Lord for the men that attended. Until next Thursday 7:30 pm Dennys (Hwy 90 & Military Drive)

Men.

I may not know you personally and we may not have ever spoken to face to face but.... there are a few things that bind us together.

We are always responsible for our wife, our children, our homes, our jobs, our vehicles, our pets, our land, our businesses, our children's education, our wife's well being, our families vacations, our investments, our taxes, our churches, our inheritance, our parents, our younger siblings, our baseball teams, soccer teams, football teams, swim teams, our umpires for games, our government, our police departments, our coaching positions at our local high schools, our combat zones in other countries, for building skyscrapers, paving roads, building bridges, working on oil rigs, building ships, building manufacturing plants, ministering in our community and our pulpits.

I know pressure gets great and even crippling at times. I know the pressure can seem to pin in your bed so that you don't you don't even want to get us to see the light of day. I know at times it feels like we are failing everyone and everything listed above. It's a real thing to know we have fallen short and even at times chosen sinned against a HOLY GOD as we run from the pressures of all that is listed above. But I can assure you on God's Word, that if we repent and return to him, he will restore you. He will strengthen you and keep you with his righteous right hand. Keep your head up and keep moving. Get up from wherever you are and thank Him for his love. He knows the pressure of doing what is right at all times. Pick your head up and trust Him to restore what has been lost. To God be the Glory.

Bible Study tonight was amazing. As God would have it, a good number of men, young and older came together to study out Luke 16: 1-18. Additionally, my old childhood friend, Kevin Curtis from John Jay, walked in and joined our small band of brothers. Look at God! God willing we will meet next week on Thursday at Dennys 78227 to continue to sharpen one another. The work continues…..

Mens Bible Study tonight.

You're invited if you don't have a church home and are looking for a place to step in.

Jesus attacked the Pharisees and the Sadducees vigorously because they were guilty of adding more to the Scriptures and devising rules that were rooted in the tradition of men and not based on God's Holy Word. The abuse of their position in their communities actually hindered people from coming to know God through Christ. These extra rules became major stumbling blocks for everyone who sat under the teaching of such blind leaders. Jesus called these SELF RIGHTEOUS leaders "Hypocrites," for making up rules and laws that had nothing to do with what God said. We are studying how Jesus handled such men in tonights study of Luke 11: 37-54

If you don't have a church home we encourage you to step in. Can't you see how the war is raging all around us. This is not a time to be neutral, soft or to be comfortable with your wife being the leader, spiritual leader of your home. God has called you to lead His way and to go to war for your family.
