Started the week with our incredible VisMO educators! Today, we continued training and preparing for our work with students this July. 🚀

Through hands-on paper play, discussion, and reflection, educators explored how visuospatial thinking, productive struggle, and the VisMO 3i process can help student experience mathematics in new ways.

Through hands-on paper play, discussion, and reflection, we discovered that mathematics requires us to notice, imagine, investigate, and discover.

We're excited to continue building a community of educators committed to creating joyful and meaningful mathematical experiences for every learner.

One fold at a time, we're transforming how students experience mathematics. 💙

Today marks our 2026 VisMO Summer Adventure orientation!

A group of educators including USD students and volunteers will be on an exciting journey together to reimagine what math learning can look and feel like.

Through paper play, curiosity, and hands-on exploration, educators will support students’ discovery that math is something to experience, wonder about, and enjoy.

This July, our educators will help students build confidence, strengthen visuospatial thinking, and uncover the connections between mathematics and the world around them.

We are incredibly grateful for this inspiring community of educators and excited for all that lies ahead.

Here's to a summer filled with curiosity, creativity, joyful learning, and mathematical wonder. 💙

One sheet of paper. Infinite possibilities. 🦉📄✨
