As the school year ends, we have the opportunity to reflect on our work and impact.
At TLC, our programming is rooted in community, creativity, and expanding opportunity. We are proud to offer our Family Cooking and Gardening Community Workshops, High School Scholars Program for unaccompanied/housing insecure juniors and seniors, Community Family Arts Workshops, STREAM Lab afterschool programs for refugee/newcomer youth, teacher professional learning for educators who teach underserved and military connected students, and STREAM summer enrichment programs for local historically marginalized children. Together, these programs create meaningful spaces for learning and connection across the communities we serve.
But we cannot do this work alone.
Your support helps us continue offering high quality programming for the communities who need it most, including students, families, and educators across San Diego.
Every donation makes a difference. Help us keep these programs growing 🌱

Last week, our TLC High School Scholars heard from guest speaker and Lucky Duck Foundation Board Member, Ben Schuster, who shared his journey from homelessness to success. His story deeply resonated with our students, many of whom have experienced housing insecurity themselves.
The room was filled with reflection and inspiration as scholars connected to his story and were reminded of their own strength and potential. We’re so grateful to Ben for speaking directly to the resilience we see in our students every day.
